Psalmuela Invited by Terra to Mentor Secondary School Students Through Art
Art is not only about creating beautiful things; it is also about inspiring, teaching, and helping others discover their own creative voices.
I was honoured to be invited by Terra to mentor secondary school students from Chude Girls Grammar School and Treasureland Christian Academy as part of the Terra Art Exhibition.

The opportunity allowed me to step into the classroom and share my knowledge and experience in visual art with young students who were exploring their creativity. Through practical sessions and creative guidance, I encouraged them to experiment, express themselves, and see art not simply as a subject in school, but as a powerful means of communication and self-expression.
Working with the students was a rewarding experience. I was particularly inspired by their curiosity, enthusiasm, and willingness to learn. It was beautiful to watch their ideas develop and to see their confidence grow as they engaged with the creative process.
For me, mentoring young artists is an extension of my own artistic journey. As Psalmuela, the Artistic Psalmist, I believe art can tell stories, preserve culture, awaken imagination, and inspire the next generation.
I am grateful to Terra for trusting me with this opportunity and for creating a platform where young people can experience and celebrate art.
Being part of the Terra Art Exhibition reminded me that sometimes, the most meaningful part of being an artist is not only what we create, but what we help others discover within themselves.
I look forward to continuing to inspire and mentor more young creatives through art.
